Orangatang is wallowing in amniotic excitement to present the Balut, our new freestyle slide wheel. At 72.5 mm tall, 35 mm wide (contact) and sporting a skeletal centerset core, the Balut is quick, light, and slippery: an optimal choice for long slides, rapid-fire spins, and freestyle trickery.

The Balut features our new Euphorethane formula. For this wheel shape and size it’s a magic thane (if we do say so, ourselves). Smooth, predictable slides, exceptional durability and flatspot resistance, and reliable speed control—what more could you ask for from such a flavorfully fertilized feast?

The crew at Loaded Boards is engorged with enthusiasm to announce the upcoming release of the Fattail. The Pintail has held a special place in our hearts since its release in June 2004, but we’ve learned a lot since then and we’ve given it a gluttonous makeover for the sake of versatility and performance. This chunky little monkey now features a wider and more refined cambered/concave standing platform, two truck options, a nominal nose kick and a functional (if corpulent) kicktail. Designed for parking garages, pumping, freestyle, a bit of freeride, commuting and eating tubs of rocky road. Because as we all know, she gotta pack much back.

The Fattail will be available in select skate shops worldwide on Monday, August 1.

Loaded launches New Tan Tien and video… oh yeaaaa

The Loaded crew has released its highly anticipated new board, the Tan Tien today. This new offering is an amalgamation of technical design, aesthetics, and premium performance. Driven by progressive longboarding as explored by Loaded’s riders, the Tan Tien manifests the desire to develop new tricks and engage new riding styles. From its foot-locking concave, drop-thru truck mounting and pumpable camber, to its responsive nose and tail kicks, the Tan Tien blends carve oriented longboarding with advanced trick riding. Loaded has also added a new technical grip-tape that optimizes flex energy and adds a futuristic visual effect. The complex contours create a super responsive board that allows for increased confidence when leaning into turns, popping tricks, and powering through slides. With the woven bamboo bottom and the funky grip design it’s easy on the eyes, but you’ll need to ride this board to truly fathom it’s potential. The Tan Tien is 39″ in length with a 27″ wheelbase, and is designed to work with 180mm reversed kingpin trucks and 70mm wheels. Ride on!

Stimulus Review

Without giving too much away I’m going to make this short – it was sick. From start to finish it was non stop. Stevens and Sears had some amazing sections and of course Paulo brought down the house.

Stimulus runs 40 minutes and by far surpasses anything that has been made for skimboarding. Buy it now and enjoy it for years.

See… I told you so! This is my favorite longboard out of the 10 I own. Just the right amount of flex for a nice smooth ride and an amazing carving feel. An all around board that will put a smile on your face every time. Why not put this board under your feet already?
