Kauai Classic

September 02nd, 2009 | Category: News

Hawaii experienced an early north swell this past Saturday, August 29th, that finally had some good/fun waves to offer the Hawaii Amateur Skimboarding League (HASL) for its 4th contest out of 6.  The comp was held on the west side of Kauai the “Garden Isle” at Kekaha Beach where it is legal to 4-wheel drive your vehicle on the sand.  This was HASL’s smallest turnout yet creating a very kick back atmosphere enjoyed by everyone who was present.  Only 21 league members were in a race to place on top.  Once again, EOS team riders Kyle “Little Man” Olson and Jasmine Joy charged their hearts out and both took 1st in their divisions which earned them 1000 points each.  This actually puts both of them in the lead when points from HASL’s whole season are tallied together.  Big up to that and the whole league for making another successful contest happen — especially Kauai local Anthony “Ace” Conlon who was throwing buckets all day!  Mark September 19th on your calendar for contest #5 back on O’ahu.  Shoots den . . .
