A way to help in Chile through EOS and Paulo Prietto
The 8.8 catastrophic earthquake that rocked Chile only days ago destroyed several coastal communities. The cities of Concepcion, Constitucion, and Curanipe are only a few that were greatly affected. These coastal communities were especially affected by the tsunami that followed the quake. There wasn’t much protection from the tidal wave to protect the small fishing villages. As a result, the tsunami leveled these towns and left more wreckage in its wake than the initial earthquake.
Local Chilean skimboarder, Danny Diaz, described that the earthquake lasted about 1 minute and 30 seconds. That is a lifetime during an earthquake. Fortunately he is ok, but many beach towns that are home to some world class waves were not ok.
Another local skimboarder and contest organizer, Jose Rafael Campino, is one of the many Chileans who is organizing aid to these areas. He is part of an organization called Costa Sur Desolada. Jose Rafael explained it this way, “Our group is composed of engineers, architects and doctors who love that place. We are trying to do everything that is possible to help this amazing area, but to get food and materials we need money. We are all chilean and the idea is to solve the problems now!”
The efforts of Jose Rafael and many other Chileans has already been noticed by the L.A. Times. Read the article here.
As a result, Paulo Prietto and EOS is promoting Costa Sur Desolada in the States. “It’s easy to forget about this tragic event and continue our daily lives, but I feel it’s important to think outside of ourselves and help.”
With the help of ExtremeOutdoorSupply.com, Paulo has organized an easy way for people to support the relief efforts. Follow the link below to donate online.
All 100% of donations will go directly to food, clothing, building supplies, and other necessary items for the victims.
* EOS WILL SEND A FREE PAULO PRIETTO POSTER FOR ALL WHO DONATE!

Wetsuits, wetsuits, wetsuits
EOS now carries wetsuits! We hooked up with one of the biggest names in the business Body Glove!! That’s right Body Glove, I have been wearing body glove since I was 12 and we are stoked they are now part of our line up.
While we were in the market of wetsuits we also added WEST wetsuits. Our good friend Hank Snapp @ Exile Skimboards highly recommended these babies so we decided to get these on the site.
Both of these lines will be appearing on the new site soon to drop!
Enjoy this Body Glove footy!
